Raised on country....

This past week I was able to take a few days off with a friend and go to TN. We jumped in her car and took off to a friend’s wedding in Nashville. We decided to stop for a few days in Gatlinburg to visit the Smokey Mountains and Dollywood. Yes, I said Dollywood. I knew I would have a great time, but I honestly didn't realize how much I would miss my grandparents on this trip. You see my grandma LOVED Dolly Parton. She also loved the Smokey’s. She was born and raised in the mountains of Tennessee, and never forgot her country roots.

I remember long car rides with my grandparents growing up, where they played Dolly on repeat. So, you can only imagine as I was walking around Dollywood and hearing her songs playing over the park speakers, it took me back to the backseat of my grandparents Roadmaster. Man, I miss them...but listening to country always takes me back to such sweet memories that thankfully haven't been forgotten. Music always tend to take me Home...
