You know, you have to be amazed with modern day technology. It took me a total of 5 minutes to create a blog. How crazy is that?! Anywho...I decided a LONG time ago that I would create a blog when I got myself a laptop. Don't ask me why I had to have a laptop, but that's what I decided in my crazy head.
So, today was THE DAY!! This year I decided to FINALLY partake in the wonder of 'black Friday'. My sister is a manic about it. She's been known to get up at 3am, wait in line, scare the Target people half to death, but get the most amazing deals. So, when I decided to join in this year I thought I was prepared. I heard the stories..how bad could it be? Now, let me give you a back story about me. I HATE shopping!! I know, I'm a girl it's not natural. Maybe I should clarify, I enjoy shopping in my own time, when I have someone to buy for and the funds. But I can't STAND crowded malls, rude people, and feeling rushed. I really enjoy shopping alone to be honest. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with my sister, but she'll be the first to tell you I've never enjoyed most girls favorite pass time. I would rather spend an extra $10 and buy online without taking years off my life.
So, this morning I was woken up at 4am. My sister overslept..so the race was on. I HAD to take a shower so I was left but my dad waited until i was ready then took me and Chewy (who had a hair appointment) to catch up with Nessa. First stop Wal-Mart...aka The Place I will never return! My dad drops me off at the door and says your sister's in toys. I was in SHOCK..here it is 5AM and this place is COVERED with people. The lines were wrapped around to the back of the store. People were pushing and shoving, just when i was near panic I saw my sis at a distance. How can people shop like this? It's insane..btw I saw WAY too many people wearing PJ's and sweatpants this AM. Have some self respect people! I saw a few in slippers. I would not lie! I'm a people watcher..I notice random things. It can be a gift and a freakin' curse some days. Anywho, after wal-mart it's a blur, but towards the end of our black friday event my daddy calls. My daddy was on a mission to find his baby girl the best laptop he could. He TOTALLY succeeded!! My father goes into Office Depot and after being told repeatedly that they won't sell their last fully loaded 4G display model Tosh he talks them into. AND gets his baby girl an extra 10% off the laptop already marked down $300. He calls me and my sister (who were in line at the Bible bookstore) and tells us to get our butts to Office Depot. When I show up my dad isn't there...he can't stand still waiting for anybody, but he walks through the door not 5 minutes after me AND the manager meets him at the door. LOL That's my dad, I had to laugh. He has this way of putting the fear of God into sales associates without yelling. He's just not afraid to ask the favors normal people assume they can't get. Everybody should have my dad with them when they buy a car, computer, home...just be prepared to get a little embarrassed and say a few I'm sorry's. I couldn't ask for a better dad. He's always looking out for my best interest. The end result..baby girl got herself a great laptop and a never ending belief that my dad is the bomb!! He might be inpatient, corky and a little volatile, but man he keeps it interesting.
Like always..The Adams Family Holiday is here to entertain. So..this is a Much Ado a Nothing blog, but a little entertainment for all of those out there who is lacking the crazy family environment this year. I'm off to take the STUPID bow off my MALE dogs head. The groomer keeps trying to make him a female...lattas my beloveds!!
